HTC EVO 3D smartphone lands on European shores

HTC Evo 3D EuropeAfter being ceremoniously launched in USA, the newest 3D phone, the HTC EVO 3D smartphone has finally arrived in European markets. It comes embedded with the HTC Watch app which makes it possible for buyers to view Hollywood movies along with their own 3D films.

The 3D phone claims to have the capability to capture and view photos and videos in 3D. It is endowed with features such as a 4.3-inch, qHD 3D display, the newest version of the HTC Sense experience, a 1.2GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon dual-core processor and is based on the Android 2.3 operating system.

Thanks to the phone’s dual 5-megapixel cameras, users can swap between 2D and 3D with ease. The camera of this phone also has a special Tiltshift effect which blurs specific parts of the photo so that subjectsare given the impression of scale models. The 3D phone’s camera can also perform in dim lighting owing to its wide aperture which of f/2.2 and record lucid 720p resolution videos at up to 30 frames per second.

Users can make full use of the active lockscreen which can transform into a real-time window to content on the net such as pictures, videos, social network updates and email. It’s like a gateway that allows users to get to their favorite apps with just a gesture, immediately. Also the phone has a Weather app via which users can feel like they are traversing in the sky alongside the clouds and the sun with realistic full-screen 3D animations.

The phone allows users to stream pictures, videos and music via HDMI to a 3D HDTV. It also has a front facing camera by which users can video chat. Plus the device has the capability to be connected wirelessly to up to 8 devices so that internet access can be shared.

The HTC EVO 3D smartphone will be available from July in Europe.
