HTC Desire 820s dual SIM features 8MP selfie camera and octa core processor

The HTC Desire 820s which is a new version of the well known phone, is geared up to go official in India and a local retailer notes that stocks have already started coming in. The device is priced at Rs 24490 and is said to offer an improved multi-tone unibody design with a new 64-bit processor and other great features.

The HTC Desire 820s will employ a 1.7GHz octa core processor from MediaTek instead of using a Snapdragon chip like on the 820 and 820q models. All variant looks almost identical and not much has been modified on the inside. The main difference in the new version is that its CPU is clocked a bit higher and packs Mali 760 graphics.

Then there’s dual SIM support with 4G LTE enabled on both slots. Like the original handset, this HTC device also comes with Android 4.4.4 KitKat out of the box and has the same core hardware. The display is 5.5 inches wide with 720p HD resolution and accompanied by an 8MP selfie camera, while the rear dons a 13MP shooter with an LED flash.

In the memory department, the Desire 820s offers 2GB RAM and 16GB of internal storage which can be expanded by up to 128GB more through the microSD card slot. There’s also a 2600mAh battery capable of up to 12.1 hours of 3G talk time, and dual front-facing BoomSound speakers.
