HTC Butterfly S hits online retailers, costs Rs 52,428

We already knew that the HTC Butterfly S was coming to India and interested customers will be glad to know that it has finally set foot in the country. An official announcement has not been made and like most of the other recent gadgets, it has showed up on an online retailer’s website. A price tag of Rs 52,428 has been slapped on the device and it will be shipped by September 11.

Encased in a chassis with dimensions of 144.5 x 70.5 x 10.6 millimeters, the Butterfly S accommodates a 5-inch Super LCD 3 capacitive touchscreen of 1920 x 1080p resolution. And as a film of Corning Gorilla Glass 3 has been reinforced on top, users can stop worrying about scrapes and scratches. It is fitted with all the usual sensors and the front side of smartphone also sports a 2.1MP webcam for video calling purposes.

As for the primary camera, a 4MP UltraPixel snapper rests on the rear panel and brings a horde of features such as auto focus, HDR, Smart Flash, HTC Zoe, geotagging, face and smile detection and much more. The multimedia-ready gadget boasts of delivering an enhanced acoustic experience, thanks to Beats Audio and HTC BoomSound.

And what’s more, the Android Jelly Bean 4.2 OS-powered device acquires steam from a 1.9GHz quad core Qualcomm Snapdragon 600 processor. It has 2GB of RAM and 16GB onboard memory that is expandable by up to 64GB using a microSD card. This smartphone draws power from a 3200mAh lithium-polymer battery that provides talk time of around 25 hours in 3G.
