Following the launch of the premium Spectre x360 laptop earlier this year, the HP Omen gaming notebook has also been introduced in India. And it’s not along as the company even took the wraps off the Pavilion 15 with B&O Play series.
The latest HP Omen gaming offering carries the model number 15-5116TX. It comes with a premium design where the overall body is dressed in black and the lid flaunts a textured finish. Lightings are visible on the sides of the palm rest and even on the rear and the keyboard also offers multi-colored backlighting. The notebook looks to be super slim and it weighs just about 2.12kg.
The HP laptop runs Windows 8.1 64-bit and is powered by a Core i74720HQ processor clocked at 2.2GHz. In the memory department, there’s 256GB of SSD storage and 8GB of RAM. And for visuals, the display used here is 15.6 inches with FHD visuals and touch support. And no gaming notebook is complete without a discrete GPU.

The company has employed the beefy GeForce GTX 960M from Nvidia with 4GB of dedicated memory. There are also dual Bang & Olufsen speakers onboard for rich audio output. The Pavilion 15 with B&O Play series is designed for entertainment and multimedia. The notebook comes with options from the latest 5th generation Intel Broadwell processors.
And you’ll also be able to opt for discrete graphics through the Radeon R7 M360 with 2GB of DDR3 memory or GeForce 940M with 2GB of DDR4 VRAM. HP has also included a 15.6-inch FHD LED-backlit display, a 720p HD webcam, 1TB of storage, an 8x SuperMulti DVD Writer and various connectivity options such as USB 3.0, USB 2.0, HDMI, RJ-45 Ethernet, Wi-Fi 802.11b/g/n and Bluetooth 4.0 amongst others.
The HP Omen 15-5116TX is priced at Rs 159990. Coming to the Pavilion 15 with B&O Play, the ab027TX and ab028TX models featuring a Core i3-5010U CPU and 4GB RAM is tagged at Rs 44490, while the ab032TX and ab030TX options with a Core i5-5200U CPU and 8GB RAM is available for Rs 54990. The Core i7-5500U powered ab035TX and ab034TX versions can be purchased at Rs 67990 and up.
