Extending the range of tablets operating on the Ice Cream Sandwich OS, the all new HCL ME U1, MyEduTab K12 and MyEduTab HE have been launched in India. One of the highlights of this range is its rather affordably priced status.
The ME U1 sports a 7-inch capacitive screen with 800 × 480p resolutions and operates on a 1GHz processor. The slab features 512MB RAM along with 4GB internal memory that is expandable up to 32GB. Additionally, it includes full USB and mini USB ports along with a slot for a microSD card.
This HCL entrant gets the juice from a 3600mAh battery and also happens to offer a choice of 3G data connectivity via a USB modem. It boasts of 17 ready-to-use local apps and provides access to the ME App Store too. Moreover, Wi-Fi connectivity stays right in place for the device.

The MyEduTab K12 is exclusively set for enabling collaboration between educators and students over cloud storage. Its alternative version, the MyEduTab HE, serves as an avenue for entertainment apart from delivering a learning experience. The slates include a range of content right from quizzes, revisions and tests to the standard NCERT matter. Notably, the tablets also incorporate parental controls for optimal use by the student community.
The HCL ME U1, MyEduTab K12 and MyEduTab HE price and availability details have been disclosed already. The HCL ME U1 price in India is tagged at Rs. 7,999, while the MyEduTab K12 and HE prices read at Rs. 11,499 and Rs. 9,999, respectively. The slabs will be available in Delhi and other places in the country starting this month.
