The all new Hand Stylus for touchscreen phones and tablets will be staying on Kickstarter for another month in spite of having reached its initial goal. One of its highlighted features is the integrated 4mm rotatable tip that is retractable and replaceable as well.
This sleek stylus shows off a hexagonal barrel template along the lines of a six-sided pencil. It can be used to sketch, draw and edit or take notes on touchscreen surfaces. Something that seems to give the accessory an edge over others in the market is the fact that its sleek tip rotates every time it is withdrawn. This should keep the tip well preserved for a comparatively longer duration. The pen carries a removable pocket clip made of stainless steel that clings to the iPad’s Smart Cover, rendering it easy to be ported with the tablet.
“I’ve purchased dozens of styluses in a quest to find one that performs less like a blunt finger and more like the fine-tipped pens and pencils I use in my design work. None of them have all the features creative professionals and everyday tablet doodlers need, so I created the Hand Stylus,” commented Steve King, designer of Hand Stylus.
The main body of the Hand Stylus is composed from aerospace-ratified anodized aluminum and is topped off in 6 gloss or matte hues. The list includes red, blue, orange, black, green and pink. To lend a touch of personalization, potential users have an option of getting the stylus laser etched.
The pen is secured in a light, tin gift box along with 6 sets of replacement tips, all of which are bundled into an aluminum recyclable container. Those who pledge an amount of $25 for the stylus on Kickstarter will receive the same in any color with free shipping in the US. Apart from this amount, contributors of larger amounts can avail of a few different offers.
The Hand Stylus is expected to ship sometime in July this year. The project has reached its goal of $25,000, with 31 days remaining for more backers to order one.
