The world seems to be going gaga over smartphones and tablets and for those who are obsessed by the latter, a new tool known as the GoPad for iPad 2 has been developed. This accessory comes with a sort of neck hanging add-on that allows users to tote around their Apple tablet whilst operating it with both hands.

The entire package consists of a GoPad, a GoBag and a GoStrap. The GoBag can be used to store the GoPad and the iPad 2 while the strap is to be draped around the neck for placing the slate in. Ubergizmo reports that all users have to do is attach the GoStrap to the GoPad, then place the tablet in the accessory and simply string it around their neck. It also doubles as a delue iPad stand which can be accessed while being seated at a desk.

This device has mainly been developed for those who can’t get enough of their slate and like to keep indulging in its many activities even while on the move. It keeps both hands of users free to operate the iPad 2 in a proper manner. The official website for the GoPad states that owners of the Samsung Galaxy Tab, BlackBerry PlayBook and Motorola Xoom need not feel shortchanged as the portable accessory will be coming for them soon. Also, a smaller version is slated to arrive in the near future for the Kindle Fire.

The GoPad for iPad 2 price is tagged at $89 and it can now be purchased online at gopad.ca. Those interested can reserve it by paying a sum of $15 so that they can get their hands on the first batch which is due to commence shipping from mid-March. However, after the deposit amount has been paid and customers change their mind regarding this purchase, the company is ready to fully refund the sum.
