Google readies Nexus phones from LG and Huawei for September 29

With less than a week to go before Google unveils its two Nexus phones from LG and Huawei at its September 29 event, the company is finding it hard to plug the leaks which are springing up here and there. Amazon India recently jumped the gun on the announcement, having listed the LG Nexus 5X along with its specifications on its website.

The page has been pulled now, but at least fans now know what’s in store for them. The Google Nexus 5X will feature a 5.2-inch IPS 1080p full HD touchscreen and Android 6.0 Marshmallow, according to the leak. A hexa core Qualcomm Snapdragon 808 processor clocked at 1.8GHz is said to be powering it in addition to 3GB or 2GB of RAM, depending on whether you’re partial to its 32GB or 16GB variant, respectively.

Find Yogi who spotted the Nexus 5X listing, also notes that the Google-commissioned LG smartphone will have a 12.3MP main camera and 5MP front-facing lens. The image above comes courtesy of AndroidPIT, while the details and press image of the Huawei Nexus 6P pictured below, was published by Android Police. The latter device is anticipated to include a 4.7-inch 1440p screen and an unsightly bar on its rear for the camera and flash unit.

Also visible on the back panel is what looks like a fingerprint sensor. There’s no confirmation on this, but Huawei might have put a USB Type-C port on it. A Snapdragon 810 chip may be found at its core and users should be able to buy it in 128GB, 64GB or 32GB capacities. One thing we can definitely say about both Nexus phones is that neither’s winning any beauty contest against the Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge or Apple iPhone 6S.
