You may have heard that the Google Nexus 6 has a questionable battery life, and you may also be aware of the fact that some power packs are swelling inside the handset to create a bulge on the rear panel. However, today we’ve come across an incidence that has seen the battery of the stock Android smartphone explode suddenly.

The pictures you’re seeing in the space below are clearly showing that the rear panel has come off due to the battery having apparently exploded. It has been said that the Google Nexus 6 handset in question was not even being charged when this happened.

The incident has occurred with a Twitter user named Monica Jasuja who has posted pictures as proof. She mentions that the phone was new, although it’s hard to say exactly how new the Nexus device was.
