Google Android KitKat contest kicks off in India, winners will get Nexus tablets

Google has kicked off the Android KitKat contest in India, which if you win, you will be rewarded with a Nexus tablet. And all you need to do to lay your hands on the slate is eat a KitKat. Any which way, it is a win-win situation for us.

Basically, Google has joined hands with Nestle, the company behind KitKat, for a promotional campaign as recently, the search engine giant announced that the next iteration of the Android platform will go by the name of the chocolate bar. And in order to take part in the contest, users will have to buy the new KitKat 2F, 4F or Dark that has the Android logo on it. An eight digit code is written inside every wrapper and users need to text it to 09880298802. Whoever wins will be presented with the slate.

A list of all the winners will be put up on the official Android KitKat page and the company will even contact them to let them know if they win. The contest that started on September 27 will go on till November 15 and we are guessing, the winners will be announced only after that. So if you are ready to win a Nexus tablet, just take a KitKat break and send a text message, it is really that simple.

To refresh memories, Android KitKat is the version 4.4 of the platform and is slated to be released along with the Google Nexus 5 smartphone. It is preceded by Jelly Bean, but we are yet to get a confirmation regarding the release date.
