E-Ten, a Chinese maker of handsets has introduced a new smartphone called the Glofiish M800.
Although the Glofiish M800 features a touch sensitive screen, it also has a slide-out QWERTY keyboard for those users who are not friendly with the touch screens. The screen size is 2.8 inches with a display of 640 X 480 (VGA) with high quality resolution.
The M800 also comes with 3.5G- an upgrade to the 3G telephony protocol to enhance network capabilty.
Glofiish M800’s connectivity is compatible with quadband GSM/GPRS/EDGE and triband UMTS/HSDPA cellular technologies.
The other features of Glofiish M800 is that it has Bluetooth, a 2 mega-pixel camera, 64MB of RAM with a microSD memory card slot and a built-in GPS receiver.
M800 is powered by Microsoft’s Windows Mobile 6 operating system and it comes integrated with direct-push technology that automatically delivers the user’s e-mail from Exchange Servers. The smartphone also allows full Microsoft Office suite for viewing, editing, and creating documents on the go.
Glofiish M800 has a second camera which is 0.3 mega-pixel and CMOS style. The battery life of M800 is up to four hours of talktime in one charge.
Glofiish M800 smartphone is quoted for $750 (Rs. 30,000 approximately).
