The Gionee S6 Pro has become official, with the handset now up for sale in China priced at CNY 1999 (roughly Rs 20000). The manufacturer is going for a premium feel with the new handset, carving it out of metal and layering it with 2.5D glass.
One of the biggest highlights of the new Gionee S6 Pro is its fingerprint scanner. The company boasts that the sensor can unlock the phone within 0.1 seconds. Other major highlights include its USB Type-C connectivity and 3130mAh battery. The latter can apparently go on for 39 hours of talk time and 558 hours of standby time.
Photography hounds can click photos through the Gionee phone’s 13MP main camera. It’s been equipped with LED flash and PDAF. The latter technology supposedly focuses in on an image within 0.1 seconds. There’s also a 5MP front-facing snapper for selfies and video chats.

The S6 Pro offers a number of improvements over its previous variant. For instance, the new handset comes with a 5.5-inch full HD resolution screen, while its predecessor has a 720p display. Moreover, the former packs 4GB of RAM and 64GB of ROM and the latter gets by with 3GB of RAM and 32GB of ROM.
