The Gionee S6 has officially been launched in India and is set to retail exclusively through online portal Flipkart. The brand has slapped a price tag of Rs 19999 on the handset.
The dual-SIM Gionee S6 first arrived on the scene in China back in November. The handset sports a full-metal design which has gone multiple processes such as sandblasting and diamond cutting to give it a sleek look. One of the phone’s top highlights is its huge 3150mAh battery which is supposed to last for 384 hours of standby time and 18 hours of talk time on 3G.
Gionee has equipped the smartphone with a USB Type-C cable for convenient charging which is apparently up to 20% faster due to ACL technology. Moving on to its photography department, the phone captures images through a 13MP camera which comes with PDAF to deliver focus speeds of 0.1 seconds, an aperture of f/2.0, and LED flash.

The 4G-ready S6 runs on Android 5.1 Lollipop with a layer of the manufacturer’s own Amigo 3.1 skinned on top. It’s powered by an octa-core 1.3GHz MediaTek MT6753 processor which performs its daily tasks with the aid of a Mali-T720 GPU and 3GB of RAM. It’s been stuffed with 32GB of internal storage which can be increased up to 128GB via a microSD card slot.
