Gionee Pioneer P2M entry-level phone for Rs 6999 pops up in India

The Gionee Pioneer P2M, the latest member of the China-based company’s budget series, has been launched in India with a price tag of Rs 6999. It can be bought through both online and offline retailers.

The standout feature of the Gionee Pioneer P2M is its 3000mAh battery. The company claims it has a standby time of 300 hours on 3G and 340 hours on 2G. Entry-level phones generally don’t pack this much power, and the company is probably hoping it’s enough to appeal to customers who will have to overlook the otherwise ordinary specs of the device.
