Gionee A1 Plus, A1 Lite get a major cut in costs

Gionee has slashed the prices of 2 of its smartphones in India namely the A1 Plus and A1 Lite. The brand says it cut costs to usher in the New Year. It’s also probably looking to make its handsets more competitive against new rivals in the mid-range market sector.

To recap, the Gionee A1 Plus hit India back in July 2017 at Rs 26999. It’s now fallen to Rs 23999 after a Rs 3000 drop. The A1 Lite followed its counterpart in August 2017 at Rs 14999. The handset’s gotten a Rs 1000 markdown down to Rs 13999.

Gionee’s looking to sweeten the deal by bundling the phones with a couple of new offers. A1 Lite users will be eligible to get 10GB of extra data from Airtel for 6 months. They’ll have to commit to a data recharge of 1GB or above every month during that time to get this benefit though.
