Apple iPhone lovers can now enjoy ringtones for free with the update of the GarageBand 4.1.1 as the users can now create their own ringtones.

Earlier iTunes had been launched especially for the iPhone where the users had to pay a price for ringtones, which was something like $0.99 per ringtone and song.

Now GarageBand 4.1.1 offers the users the chance to create custom ringtones from any of the ringtones offered by iPhone. This GarageBand 4.1.1 will not turn the songs bought from iTunes to ringtones.

The user can just set up a cycle region that covers the area which he wishes to use in the GarageBand song. But the area must be 40 seconds or less in length.

Then, when the cycle area has been set, the user has to choose, share and send ringtone to iTunes which can then be uploaded on the website.

The user has to check whether he/she has iTunes 7.5 or later and use the latest version of GarageBand 4.1.1. The iPhone also has to have the software version 1.1.2.
