Game fanatics cheer as Villain reveals Archetype for the iPhone

iPhone and iPod touch users can gear up to witness a new breed of mobile mayhem on their devices. Villain announced the Archetype game today that is an online multiplayer first-person shooter game specially developed for the iPhone and iPod touch. This game will surely ignite the devices’ platforms with multiplayer FPS deathmatches including teams, experience points and player ranks.

The players initially battle as lowly cadets with team-based death matches. They then earn higher ranks to progress as they build a reputation, earn experience points and win medals including every matches MVP medal. The game permits 10 players to fight at one time, two team with 5 players each battle through five different levels.

Our game brings key elements from online console first person shooters to the iPhone and iPod touch for ‘iPwnage-style’ fun with no gimmicks or strings attached.”

The game will launch six unique weapons specifically rapid-fire guns, devastating missile launchers, brutal melee axe and two distinct grenade types including a split-strike grenade that splits in two every time it bounces causing larger damage. This game gets the best features of console FPS to iPhone and iPod touch and creates chaos among users with its dual joystick-style controls.

Further improving the tough set of FPS features and melee experience in this game will be the player rank-based team matchmaking, buddy lists and radar-based enemy tracking. Users can have a console experience on the go with the Archetype’s portable iPwnage either over Wi-Fi, 3G or even Edge. Users can receive the best view of the action on any device as this game is compatible with iPhone 4’s retina display technology when it will be launched. This game promises to deliver an intense, high quality console FPS-type experience convenient to fit the most popular iPhone and iPod touch platforms.

Archetype will be available soon via iTunes in early July for a price tag of £1.79.
