Free Walk and Drive navigation for Nokia E71 and E6

Nokia E71 The Nokia E71 and E66 users who have been longing for the free walk and drive navigation can finally breathe a sigh of relief. According to the Official Nokia Blog, the latest version of Ovi Maps with the free walk and drive navigation has been made available for the Nokia E71 and E66.

Users can access Ovi Suite to sideload the latest country maps onto their mobile devices and enjoy offline map browsing along with free navigation. The blog reveals that despite having full navigational abilities, due to certain technological hindrances, users may not be able to access premium content like Guide Michelin and Lonely Planet guides.

The Nokia E71 and Nokia E66 are said to be the last of the S60 2.1 devices to have the updated version of Ovi Maps. The upcoming devices apparently are to incorporated with the free walk and drive navigation application. Users who wish to get the latest version, need to download the new Ovi Maps application from nokia.com/maps on to their PCs. Following this, they need to install the Ovi Suite application onto their device and start using Ovi Maps by accessing the appropriate folder.

It is important to note that incase users start using the application without installing the latest version of Ovi Maps, they will be charged 9.99 EUR as one year navigation license. Users can update the existing version from nokia.com/maps. Simultaneously, the update has also been made available at Ovi Stores.
