Flipkart sells half a million products in one hour via Big Billion Days

Flipkart inaugurated its Big Billion Days sale on October 2 and has managed to sell over half a million products in the first hour itself. The number of customers who logged into the website on the launch day of the sale was the highest number in its history. The discounts will continue till October 6.

On day 1 of the Big Billion Days, Flipkart sold Apple watches that outnumbered its online and offline sales for a month. TV sets measuring 40 inches and above have already surpassed the quantity sold in the 2015 edition. These reports are only accountable for the first day of the sale. The website hopes to receive a similar response over the next 4 days.

Day 2 of the Big Billion Days will see special offers on mobiles and accessories. Flipkart has already promoted the reduced price of the iPhone 6 which will now be sold at Rs 29990. The iPhone 5s will cost Rs 17799 and there is an exchange offer available on it for up to Rs 15000.

Samsung has launched its new smartphone the Galaxy On8 exclusively on Flipkart. The device will sell for Rs 1000 less than its original cost of Rs 15900 during the Big Billion Days. Xiaomi is offering a discount on its products like the Mi 5 and Redmi 3S Prime throughout the sale. The Lenovo K5 Plus will also be cheaper by Rs 1000.

Accessories that can be brought for a lesser than their original rate include memory cards, laptop skins, keyboards, and flash drives. Offers are available on headphones, earphones, and Bluetooth speakers as well. Flipkart’s exclusive discounts are valid for external hard drives, smart wearables, and power banks.
