The company will be rolling out this service first in the US with a possibility of it arriving in other nations sometime soon.
All users need to do is hit the gift option via the birthday reminder scroll or a friend’s timeline and then select a present, attach a card and click send. The notification can be posted on the timeline or through a private message with an alternative to make an on-spot payment or provide the required details later.
The friends receiving the gifts can add their own taste to it by selecting from a host of customizable options including colors, sizes and flavors. And that’s not all; if they do not like it on watching the preview, the present can always be substituted with another one of equal value.
Users needn’t have to worry about recalling addresses as their friends can type in the required shipping details. As per the company, the present will be delivered within a couple of days. The gift list comes with a host of options and includes things like cupcakes from Magnolia Bakery, stuffed animals from Gund and digital gift cards from Starbucks.
As mentioned above, the Facebook Gifts feature will be available first in the US.
