Facebook for Windows Phone v2.5 is all set to arrive soon and it should bring in a host of improvements. It has been updated to make the experience of accessing the SNS on handsets running on Microsoft’s platform more convenient.

Users can now create a thread on sending messages to their pals as well as start a group conversation. With a Metro-style template, the experience should seem more interactive and engaging. Those flustered with unwanted comments or posts flooding their walls can simply delete them by accessing the tap and hold context menu.

“Firstly, thanks for all your feedback over the past few months. We read every comment you submit on Facebook, through email, and through the Marketplace, we use them to plan features for releases and we really appreciate all the work you put into feeding back. We’re listening,” reads a post on the official Facebook for Windows Phone page.

Friends and places can be tagged with prefixes like ‘with’ or ‘at’ while punching an update on the wall. This version carries active links within a post that ought to be tapped for reaching the content directly. Similar to the comments and likes page for posts, the photo counterpart has been redesigned in the new upgrade. Giving due value to user responses, the ability to ‘like’ comments has been incorporated within the app.

As stated by the developers, Facebook for Windows Phone v2.5 will be rolled out after the final testing phase concludes. The update will be downloadable via the Windows Phone Marketplace after it is launched.
