Facebook for BlackBerry v3.2 has been let loose and it drags along a host of new features. The update has primarily been rolled out to improve the overall social networking experience on RIM’s handsets.
To start off, the application brings forth new icons to render a personalized touch. Users will notice the regular profile widget being replaced by the latest profile picture of the corresponding person. The utility now shows off enhanced birthday alerts with customization choices.
Basically, birthdays of Facebook friends can be synced to the device’s calendar. This allows posting a message to a pal’s wall without even opening the Facebook app. Those who wish to opt out of this trait can do so conveniently with the included personalization options.

As part of the Facebook v3.2 upgrade, you’ll enjoy some exciting new features,” reads a post on the official BlackBerry blog written by Donny H.
The reformed version arrives with in-app event support and that means users can view information about various occasions. Data pertaining to the location, timings, guest list and more can be perused, while users should be able to post messages on the event’s wall as well. Event notifications can be availed of with the newly upgraded application.
