Etymotic Research unveils hf2 Headset for iPhone in Macworld

Etymotic Research Logo Etymotic Research has introduced the hf2 headset. This headset claims to offer high-fidelity hands-free especially for the iPhone. The hf2 headset combines accurate sound quality of Etymotic’s ER-4P earphones.

This headset has a well designed microphone and an end/send switch. This hf2 works for iPhones as well as iPod models. It is also applicable to other music players and mobile phones which accepts 3.5mm-4 contact phone + stereo plug.

The hf2 headset adds a high-quality, in-line microphone to Etymotic earphones with the highest earphone noise isolation and response accuracy in the business.

Etymotic will demonstrate the hf2 headset at Macworld Conference & Expo, which is being held at the Moscone Center in San Francisco from January 14th to 18th 2008.

“In addition to the uncolored high-fidelity stereo sound Etymotic is known for, the hf2 headset lets users talk on their mobile phone with unprecedented ease,” commented Mead Killion, Ph.D., founder and president of Etymotic Research

He further added, “Earphone fidelity and noise isolation dramatically improves intelligibility while listening and speaking, especially in noisy locations. The cable to the microphone is shorter than usual, which places the microphone naturally closer to the mouth, making it truly hands free in many cases.”

The hf2 headset will never allow an iPhone user to miss a call as it pauses the music and automatically picks up the call and ends it, and the music picks off where it left. The hf2 end/send button also advances the music track and performs a variety of functions supported by the iPhone and other mobile devices.

This Etymotic hf2 iPhone headset is available at Etymotic Research for a price of $179 (approximately Rs.7,028).
