Electric Literature iPhone App Avid book readers can now enjoy literary magazines directly from their iPhone as Electric Literature has recently launched its first literary app for the iPhone. The app presents stories by some of the best authors.

The inaugural issue offers readers an exclusive look at the new novel by Pulitzer-Prize winning author Michael Cunningham (The Hours). Cunningham narrates the story of the separation of two brothers, one vital and stylish, the other troubled and restrained.

Jim Shepard presents readers with the tale of Swiss Alps where a team of scientists explore the poetry of avalanches to their peril. Further, a story by T Cooper describes one man’s jealousy of his wife’s ex-husband.

The app features Diana Wagman who reveals a story portraying a young woman’s first sexual relationship after a mastectomy. Renowned dog-walker Lydia Millet directs readers into a world where people are beasts and dogs are the personification of refinement.
