Duet Travel phone introduced by National Geographic and Cellular Abroad

Duet Travel phone The needs and requirements of the international traveler have now been met with the introduction of the National Geographic Duet Travel phone, which was introduced by National Geographic and Cellular Abroad. The new handset offers support for two SIM cards and provides additional features that travelers will find very useful such as Bluetooth for easy photo sharing and other miscellaneous transfers; a camera to click pictures of the surrounding location, FM radio for music on the go, television and 1GB storage card. Additionally, the Duet packs in National Geographic content, which includes wallpapers, ringtones and travel-related videos from the National Geographic channel.

The Duet grants benefits such as affordable calling in 185 countries, free incoming calls in more than 80 countries and 30 minutes of outgoing call credit (for most countries), thanks to National Geographic’s pay-as-you-go National Geographic Travel SIM card.

“Our service offers comparable international coverage to carriers such as Verizon, T-Mobile and AT&T, but at a fraction of the cost. In today’s economic environment, there is good reason to utilize National Geographic’s international cellular service when traveling,” commented Sebastian Harrison, president of Cellular Abroad Inc. “The unique features of the new Duet handset perfectly complement the equally unique qualities of the service.”

Users can avail of the dual SIM card facility by inserting a second SIM card in the phone. Thus they can have a secondary number and service. This alternative offers a perfect way for users to retain their current phone numbers while overseas or keep a secondary number that is solely for business or family. This service also enables 24/7 toll-free US- based customer service by dialing a three digit access code right from the convenience of the handset.

For those travelers who already possess a cellphone that can be used for international calls, the National Geographic Travel SIM card can be bought separately from the Duet phone.

The National Geographic Duet Travel Phone is available online through select retailers.
