The Blu Products Vivo 4.3 is said to be the first dual SIM handset to feature a dual core CPU and a Super AMOLED Plus display. However, it isn’t the only smartphone to employ 2 SIM slots with a multi-core SOC doing the heavy lifting on the inside. Take the Motorola XT882 for one.

As mentioned above, a 4.3-inch Super AMOLED Plus touchscreen runs over the handset’s front panel with a resolution of 480 x 800 pixels. Placed besides the display is a 1.3MP camera that’s designed for video calling purposes. The 8MP snapper fixed to the back panel of the device can be used to capture images as well as record videos in 720p HD format.

“We are extremely excited as we continue to pioneer the growing demand of Dual SIM handsets in emerging markets by offering the most outstanding Dual SIM smartphone available anywhere in the world today.” asserted Samuel-Ohev-Zion, CEO of BLU Products. “Additionally, this is the first in a series of exciting new Android devices we will be announcing, as we are actively and aggressively moving towards providing high performance, affordable smartphones to the ever growing unlocked no-contract segment in the United States.”

This handset is armed with a 1GHz Cortex A9 MediaTek MT6577 dual core processor that assists the Ice Cream Sandwich platform. Along with 4GB of integrated storage and an embedded microSD slot which supports memory expansion, it carries a 3.5mm audio jack for hooking up external speaker systems. Connectivity features like 3G HSDPA, Bluetooth 3.0 and Wi-Fi are included too.

The Blu Vivo 4.3 price stands at $249.99. Starting September, the company will begin shipping the smartphone across the US, followed by Latin America and Asia.
