Verizon Motorola Droid Razr and Droid Razr Maxx receive ICS, are now global ready

The Verizon Motorola Droid Razr and Droid Razr Maxx ICS upgrades have arrived right when the next major Google mobile OS is almost within view. Both these phones are also touted to be global ready, which means users can access them in over 220 countries across the world.

Basically, the newly released global roaming capability will present the devices with worldwide compatibility of data and voice services. Users simply need to tie up with an international plan to access either handset at any given place. As for the Android 4.0 update, it brings a host of attributes like Face Unlock and Direct Access Lock Screen, which provides access to cameras, messages and dialer even when the phone has not been unlocked. The new Video Calling icon permits convenient access to video chatting utilities like Tango and ooVoo. Besides, voice input technologies come into play for typing out emails and texts.

Droid Razr ICS Update

Running through the principal specifications of the Droid Razr, its hardware components include a 4.3-inch Super AMOLED Advanced qHD display, an 8MP snapper and a front-facing 1.3MP camera with 720p HD video recording ability. The phone gets its fuel from a 1.2GHz dual core processor and houses 16GB of internal memory.

The Razr Maxx is touted to proffer an extended talk time of above 21 hours in a single charge, as compared to other regular 4G devices of its caliber. Its hardware specs covering the screen size and cameras are the same as that of the Razr. Apart from carrying 16GB user memory, it is pre-installed with a 16GB microSD card.

Like we’ve already mentioned, the Verizon Motorola Droid Razr and Droid Razr Maxx ICS upgrades and global roaming support have kicked off already.
