Domino’s app will soon enable you track your pizza order via GPS

In a race to provide more diverse services than your contemporaries, Domino’s wants to distinguish itself to be the first company worldwide to allow customers to track pizza deliveries on smartphones, tablets and smart TVs. It will be introduced first in Australia and New Zealand by the end of this July.

The new Domino’s app will only be seen expanding upon the cool features its already offers pizza lovers from over the world. You can place an order complete with the selection of your favorite toppings using almost any device, including an Xbox One console and even your car. Moreover, you can also track the cooking stage at which your pizza is at a particular time.

However, you are left helpless once your pizza hits the road. That’s where the new Domino’s app will come into play. Its GPS Driver Tracker will let you view exactly where your delivery guy is. Moreover, customers will also be provided with candid details about the drivers, including their names, favorite sports teams, the music they listened to on the way over and even how fast they’re driving.

Details about this upcoming app have reached WSJ through none other than Don Meij, the CEO of Domino’s Australia. He believes that the new feature will discourage errant driving behavior shown by its employees sometimes. Results of a trial run of the trait, which was active for a year and a half have shown great drops in dangerous activities like speeding and taking corners too quickly.

While July will see the new Domino’s app reaching Australia and New Zealand, it will be seen arriving in the Netherlands by Christmas. Nations like Japan, France and Belgium will have to wait until the end of 2016 to get it.
