Depict 1.0 hits Apple App Store

Depict iPhone Game Makeshift Games recently launched a Pictionary-like drawing game dubbed Depict 1.0 for the iPhone. Gamers can now compete with friends and strangers globally by means of this multiplayer game.

The Depict 1.0 is claimed to be the first and only multiplayer game to leverage OpenFeint and SmartFox Server for connecting with friends from Facebook, Twitter and other OpenFeint games. The game checks the player’s ability to solve simple drawing puzzles. Each round features a puzzle containing up to six words which is presented to the drawer and guessers.

“Our goal was to create a fast and fun drawing game with lasting appeal. We hope people will come back to this game whenever they have five minutes to spare,” stated James Jacoby owner, Makeshift Games.

The drawn picture needs to be guessed by correctly before other players tap the correct answer and gain maximum points. The game compatible with iPhone 3.0 or later enables users to select either global play or a private, friends-only game. Global play instantly pairs the player with an active game for fast action while the friends-only mode enables users to play solo against saved drawings created by other players. Further, in friends-only game, players can view their OpenFeint friends’ online status and invite others to play with a single touch.

Depict 1.0 can be downloaded from the Apple App Store for a limited price offer of $0.99.
