Dell partners with Iris Computers to steam up its distribution strategy in India

Iris Computers has now become a distribution partner for Dell products in the Indian market. This deal is all set to advance the American company’s push into the country in a pretty big way. And with over 3,500 partners in tow, the new collaborator looks all set to help in this mission.

For now, the distribution though Iris will apply to enterprise as well as end user products and solutions within north and east India and will later expand into new territories. According to Firstpost, Consumers as well as businesses will be sold Dell’s Optiplex, Latitude and Precision products, whereas Iris will also facilitate the selling of the PowerVault and PowerEdge storage and server solutions to the enterprises.

Expressing happiness on the growth of the company in India, its executive director Ravi Bharadwaj said that the new partnership will mean better profitability and more business growth for their channel partners. Dell and Iris have a healthy seven year-old association and this new deal ensures that it will last much longer.

Swarnendu Mukherjee, the director of sales in the commercial channel of the American company’s Indian operations has commented that Dell’s channel strategy has been designed in a way that fast and profitable growth is facilitated for its partners as well.

Let us now wait and watch how the new partnership of Dell with Iris Computers helps the former compete with big players like HP and others that too are making merry in the Indian market.
