The Creo Mark 1 has just gotten its first software upgrade, making good on the company’s promise to send out a new update every month. The OTA download brings with it 5 major new features consisting of Enhance, Data Manager, Selfie Flash, Sense and Echo, in addition to performance enhancements.
The new Enhance tool allows users to quickly edit photos, complementing the existing Camera and Gallery app in the Creo Mark 1. Another new photography-related feature comes in the form of Selfie Flash. The front panel of the handset can now light up for a few second when a user clicks an image, a useful ability to have in low-light situations.
Creo has also introduced a Data Manager option within the Settings menu. It’s supposed to help consumers save on data expenses by letting them control how much data is accessed by the apps installed in their device. It even tells users how much background data is getting eaten up out of their total consumption.
Sense, the brand’s iPhone Spotlight-esque search tool, can now display real-time results when a person is trying to solve calculations. Furthermore, people will now be able to double-tap on the home button of the Mark 1 to send a message on WhatsApp to any contact directly.

Other highlights include the capability to search for Play Store apps and add phone numbers to contacts directly from Sense. Finally, the unique Echo tool has gotten updated so that it now directs all calls to Echo when the mode is activated. It also utilizes smart triggers to alert consumers when the Mark 1 is on silent.
