The Coolpad Note 3 has sold over 20000 units during its second flash sale, a significant increase over the 15000 models it vended within 5 minutes in its first. Registrations for the next sale taking place via Amazon India have begun.
To recall, the Coolpad Note 3 was launched in India earlier this month. The success of the device is good news for the company, given it has invested nearly Rs 1950 crore into the country. It plans to go on selling its current stock till December 2015, after which it will begin offering its ‘Made in India’ devices.
Going back to the dual-SIM Note 3, the phone is priced at Rs 8999 and comes with a fingerprint scanner; a highlight of the device at that value. The sensor can apparently endure 10 million presses and is capable of surviving for up to 9 years. It’s located on the back of the device and supposedly unlocks the phone within 0.5 seconds.
The Coolpad smartphone comes with Android 5.1 Lollipop wrapped up in Cool UI 6.0 and derives its power from a 3000mAh battery. Under the hood, users will find an octa-core 64-bit 1.3GHz MediaTek MT6753 processor and a Mali T720 GPU. Coming to its memory capabilities, it contains 3GB of RAM and 16GB of ROM, expandable till 64GB.
