Coolpad Note 3 now selling for cheaper at Rs 8499

The Coolpad Note 3 has gotten a price cut roughly 6 months after it was launched in India. The handset is now selling at Rs 8499, Rs 500 lesser than its initial launch value of Rs 8999.

The official reason given for the cut in cost is that it’s a gift to loyal customers who have voted the Coolpad Note 3 as the top-rated handset under the sub-10k category. Unofficially, the Rs 500 drop in value will likely allow it to compete better against newer rivals in the entry-level market segment.

Coolpad Note 3 Black Variant

The new Rs 8499 cost also serves to narrow the gap between the Coolpad phone and its lower-specced sibling the Note 3 Lite which goes for Rs 6999. Note that only the black variant of the former handset is available the lesser cost, with the white version still retailing at Rs 8999 as of now.

Other than the new discounts, Coolpad has also announced its plans to launch new products in India within the course of the next few months. Unfortunately, it didn’t offer any hints at what these could be. The two handsets that it has brought to the nation seem to have done fairly well for itselves given the response the two have gotten during flash sales.
