Clove announces the price and release dates of the Motorola Defy+

Motorola Defy+ Smartphone Clove UK has declared release date for the new Motorola Defy+ along with its pricing. The online retailer is offering the unlocked and SIM-free version of the Android smartphone. Motorola also recently declared the release of Fire and Fire XT smartphones in India.

Operating on the Gingerbread operating system from Android, the Defy+ takes it a notch up than its predecessor with a 1GHz processor. Also, the company describes the handset as life-proof with respect to its Corning Gorilla Glass which makes the device water resistant, scratch resistant and dust-proof.

The Gingerbread operating system is further supported by Adobe Flash Player 10 for better viewing of videos and other multimedia content. Also, the Defy+ is graced with a 5MP camera with features like flash, auto focus and digital zoom.

The handset is also pre-loaded with apps like CardioTrainer which is supposedly an apt companion during fitness training and workout sessions, and others like the Zinio e-magazine which offers an entertaining selection of publications. Tagging along with the operating system is a wide range of Google services and an array of apps from the Android Market.

Powered with a 1700mAh battery, the Defy+ offers a talk time of up to 7.1 hours and a standby time of 16 days approximately. Also, the integral memory offers a storage space of 2GB, which is externally expandable up to 32GB. The handset is offered along with a 2GB microSD card.

The Motorola Defy+ can be purchased through Clove UK starting September 30. It will be available for a price of £246, inclusive of taxes.
