Cloudmark Mobile Messaging Security Solution released

Cloudmark LogoEarly this year, Cloudmark had launched its Mobile Spam Guide, a toolkit modeled for the benefit of creating awareness about the increasing instances of mobile spam. Hot on its heels, the Cloudmark Mobile Messaging Security Solution was announced. This security service by Cloudmark includes an automated, active messaging filtering solution and a global reporting and analysis component.

A growing problem for subscribers as well as mobile operators today is messaging security threats. This new solution claims to equip operators enough to fight messaging threats with subscriber behavior analysis, advanced mobile anti-virus and subscriber preference capabilities. Seventy percent of mobile spams were identified as being related to financial frauds, according to a research undertaken by the company. The new security solution keeps operators safe from promptly mutating attacks and also offers them command and visibility over their networks

“Mobile spam, fraud and malware have become a real problem for operators and subscribers alike over the last twelve months. The high returns available in the mobile channel have attracted attacks from traditional email spammers, who bring with them 10 years’ experience in avoiding detection in the fixed-line world. The Cloudmark Mobile Messaging Security Solution provides operators with the requisite tools to effectively address this problem now and help to prevent mobile messaging attacks from becoming as prominent as email attacks”, shared Alan Ranger, vice president of mobile marketing at Cloudmark.

This solution gives users the opportunity to compose scenarios which are the most suitable for their individual network and subscriber base and be safe from malicious spam activity at the same time. This it does via features such as Fraud, Content control, anti-bullying and Mobile Malware/Virus. These features secure users from various mobile dangers such as viruses, malware, financial fraud, spam, abusive content and malicious code. They also help in diagnosing infected handsets.

The GSMA Spam Reporting Service (SRS), a product of the union of Cloudmark and GSMA, was announced as well. It is a worldwide initiative by virtue of which subscribers can report cases of SMS spam to their network.

As of now the availability and price of the Cloudmark Mobile Messaging Security Solution is not known.
