Chinese OEM Xiaomi outs Mi3 smartphone in India for Rs 14999

The wait is finally over as Xiaomi launches its first smartphone in India called Xiaomi Mi3 which will go on sale carrying a very attractive price of a little under Rs 15000. And if you thought the Nexus 5 and OnePlus One were great deals, wait till you hear what features this piece of hardware has to offer.

The Xiaomi Mi3 is the first device from the Chinese giant to be unveiled in India. The company’s vice president, Hugo Bara, announced its arrival and the price was listed on its website as well. The device carries flagship-class specs and flaunts a pretty attractive appearance. At 8.1mm thin, the phone isn’t the slimmest on the market, and it weighs 145 grams.

Xiaomi may possibly launch the Mi3 in multiple colors and there’s no word on whether the recently revealed gold model will be available. Tucked away inside is a 2.3GHz quad core Snapdragon 800 SOC with Adreno 330 graphics, 2GB of RAM, 16GB of storage and a large 3050mAh battery.

The handset is clearly no slouch when it comes to performance and it provides maximum bang for your buck at the said price. Android 4.3 comes preloaded with the MIUI 5 interface and an update to version 4.4 KitKat is also available.
