Though nothing has been officially confirmed, the hitch seems to be taking place on account of some development issues.
Those awaiting the company’s cheaper smartphone offering will be a little disappointed to learn that the device may be delayed due to its casing troubles. A source of Apple Insider, who also happens to be an analyst, comments that the reason behind this could be the challenges faced by the OEM so as to craft the flagship’s replica with a plastic material relatively slimmer than the standard casing.
According to him, the lean material has apparently led to a slower production yield with respect to coating and surface treatment, in turn disrupting the forecasted timetable. While there could be only one reason leading to the setback for the low-budget device, the 5S is said to be faced with more challenges than one at present.
To begin with, the smartphone will presumably be allotting space to a fingerprint sensor underneath the home button which as per the analyst, happens to be the subject of the problem. It seems like the folks over at Cupertino are still trying to figure out how to prevent interference from the black and white coating substance that lies under the cover glass.
