Spring is as good a reason as any other to launch a ceramic white Samsung Galaxy Note, with the South Korean conglomerate having announced its availability in Canada. Apart from putting out the word about the new release, the company has also made a point to boast about the tablet-phone hybrid having crossed 5 million in global unit sales.

The pearly version carries all of the specs sported by the original one which was spotted last year. This includes the 5.3-inch, 1280 x 800p, HD Super AMOLED display. The S-Pen offered with the smartphone stays right in place to serve as a stylus for input of content. Operating on a 1.5GHz processor, it also provides 16GB user memory. The storage capacity can be extended via a 32GB microSD card too.

“Galaxy Note continues to delight customers with its incredible versatility and unique user experience and we are excited to introduce a new color of the popular Samsung Galaxy Note to Canadians. Designed to capture, share and create content like never before, the Galaxy Note combines the power of a tablet with the convenience of a smartphone to bring an all-in-one device to the Canadian marketplace,” commented Paul Brannen, Vice President, Mobile Communications at Samsung Canada.

The smartphone presently runs on the Gingerbread platform with the company already promising an ICS treat down the line. Moreover, it features the Premium Suite upgrade that will add certain functions to phone-specific attributes supported by the S-Pen. As for the snappers, there is an 8MP rear camera and a 2MP front-facing sensor strapped onto the handset in question.

The ceramic white Samsung Galaxy Note price is marked at $199.99 and it is already out across select retailers and carriers in Canada.
