Celkon Campus A20 and A60 fuel low-budget smartphone rivalry

Just as stated earlier, the Celkon Campus A20 and A60 have debuted in India and joined the A63 in the corresponding series. However, it is only the latter handset which has managed to take a seat on the official Celkon website as well as a couple of online shopping outlets as of now.

Seen on the front panel of the Celkon Campus A60 is a 4.5-inch screen which is capable enough to spew visuals at a resolution of 480 x 854 pixels, while the A20 packs a 4-inch 480 x 800p touch panel. The former clearly seems more appealing than the other device at first glance, but for those who believe it’s the inner beauty that matters, the 4-inch phone is what they should be eyeing.

Throbbing within the Celkon Campus A20 is a dual core processor clocked at 1.2GHz which relies on 256MB of RAM. The device treats its users to a generous helping of Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean as well as features 3.2MP of camera on its rear and a VGA webcam on its face. It’s quite obvious that inbuilt memory of 512MB provided by the handset might fall short, which is why a microSD card port resides on the gadget to ensure further expansion of up to 32GB.

On the other hand, the 4.5-inch smartphone settles for a scoop of Android Ice Cream Sandwich and gains steam from a 1GHz single core chipset. Its camera offerings run parallel to those of the aforementioned device, while it grants relatively lesser flash storage space of 256MB. The phone holds onto a 1,400mAh battery as opposed to the 4-inch handset’s 1,500mAh power pack.
