Here’s another iPhone application that will allow users to watch television shows on the iPhone. CBS introduces TV.com application for the iPhone. The application will run via 3G, Wi-Fi and EDGE networks.
The TV.com application will allow users to watch full episodes of Beverly Hills 90210, the L world, the Young and Restless, The Tudor etc. Additionally, users can also enjoy watching popular TV shows like CSI:Miami or even the original Star Trek or the Late Show with David Letterman.
The site quoted Jeff Sellinger, Executive Vice President and General Manager, CBS Mobile, saying, “CBS Mobile is excited to be on Apple’s App Store with our application for TV.com, where TV lives online – and now on iPhone and iPod touch.”
Besides this, the application will also feature shows from CNet, Showtime and CW. The well designed application features a scrolling bar at the top that provides quick access to favorite shows.
The application utilizes the shake-to-shuffle feature that plays clips randomly on shaking the device. Full episodes are presented as multiple clips instead of a single video. Users can also search for shows using the search box at the top.
The TV.com application is available at the App Store for free.
