C Spire claims to offer data speeds that are roughly 10 folds faster than 3G connectivity. Though the exact release date for the new Galaxy S through this particular network provider is not out at present, it is expected to ship later in the year. The smartphone is already up for pre-order in the US via 5 carriers. Talking about the device’s specifications, it sports a 4.8-inch HD Super AMOLED touchscreen fitted over a sleek chassis. A neat combination of ICS and the TouchWiz UI should make the touch experience quite intuitive.
“We’re excited that the Galaxy S III will be among the first 4G LTE devices launched on the nation’s only personalized network optimized for the next generation of high-speed data services,” cited Kevin Hankins, chief operating officer for C Spire Wireless.
The handset arrives with 2GB RAM to enable multitasking. It is available in 2 color choices of pebble blue and marble white. The original quad core CPU will be replaced by the Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 dual core processor clocking in at a frequency of 1.5GHz. The hardware components also include an 8MP sensor and a front-facing camera for video conferencing. Right since its launch, the company has been stressing on its ‘human centric features’ such as S Voice, Smart Stay and others.
