Blu Products introduces 4G LTE Windows Phone handsets in India

Blu Products has launched two new 4G LTE handsets based on the Windows Phone OS in India, along with the promise that they can be upgraded to Windows 10 for free. The Blu Win JR LTE and Win HD LTE carry tags of Rs 5999 and Rs 7999, respectively. These two are for those who regularly complain about not having enough budget choices when it comes to smartphones running Microsoft’s mobile OS.

But as is the case with most wallet-friendly Windows Phone offerings, the options offered by Blu are not phenomenal in terms of specifications. There are too many similarly priced Android devices out there which throw shade on these two. The Win HD LTE (second photo) gets its steam from a 64-bit quad core 1.2GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 410 processor and 1GB of RAM.

This Blu smartphone has 8GB of internal memory and a slot for slipping in a memory card of up to 32GB. Its rear camera of 8MP resolution is accompanied by an LED flash unit and there’s a 2MP snapper on the front panel above the screen. Staying true to its name, the Win HD LTE’s IPS display of 5 inches, spews out visuals in 1080 x 720p quality.

Next comes the Blu Win JR LTE (first image) with its 4.5-inch 480 x 854p FWVGA resolution IPS screen and merely 1GB of RAM with 8GB ROM. Just like its companion, it is powered by the quad core Snapdragon 410 chipset and the Adreno 306 GPU. A 5MP camera with flash is stuck to its rear, while a VGA webcam can be found above the touchscreen.

Shared features of Blu Win series:

– 64-bit quad core 1.2GHz Snapdragon 410 chip
– Windows Phone 8.1 OS
– 1GB RAM, 8GB ROM (Indian version)
– 32GB microSD card support
