Apparently, most BlackBerry users assert that the BBM is one of their most-loved unique functionalities offered by RIM. Well, for those BBM aficionados we have great news up ahead. Research In Motion has put up the latest update to the BlackBerry Messenger version 5.0.1.41 on the BlackBerry App World.

Surprisingly, the mobile terrain elucidates that this release may not after all be very power packed. The App World itself lists a few basic highlights like bug fixes, a simpler way to send images and voice notes. More organization in menus and support for one line view of contact list can also be expected from this update. Additionally, it renders support to escaping out of chat while at the same time retaining an unsent chat message using the escape button and deleting an unsent chat message by simply pressing shift-del.

The site forewarns users to back up their contact list and ensure that they are working on RIM or carrier approved BlackBerry Device Software. Additionally, handset owners will have to restart their device after installing. So BBM lovers can head over to the BlackBerry App World to download the upgrade for free.
