Belkin introduces new TuneBase products to enhance hands free communication

Belkin TuneBase

Belkin’s latest TuneBase FM and TuneBase Direct permits users to answer calls hands-free on the iPhone while in the car. The structured designs of both these products allow their use without removing the iPhone or iPod from its case. The Tune Base framework enables its users to easily relocate the iPhone horizontally to view turn-by-turn directions and videos.

Cars which include an auxiliary input jack to connect to the car’s stereo can use a 3.5 mm cable. The TuneBase Direct then plays music from either the iPhone or iPod. Additionally it also charges the iPod, so as to replenish the battery while on the road.

Users can also enjoy the TuneBase FM from iPod or iPhone in the car while concurrently charging it. The ClearScan technology helps users by automatically seeking for the clearest FM frequency. This technology not only enables users to listen to music from the iPhone in the car, but also permits answering calls by simply pressing a button on the TuneBase. In addition, the speaker phone is incorporated for safe talk. Moreover the call’s audio comes through the car stereo.

TuneBase Direct and TuneBase FM both feature push-button call pickup, and speakerphone. TuneBase FM allows wireless audio transmission on multiple FM channels from 88.1MHz-107.9MHz. The TuneBase Direct comes along with a 3.5 mm cable.

TuneBase Direct with Hands-Free also known as F8Z442 is priced at $69.99, while the TuneBase FM with Hands-Free dubbed as F8Z441 is priced at $89.99 TuneBase FM would be available in mid-July 2009 and TuneBase Direct in early June 2009 in the US. Both of these would be available in mid-May in the EU.
