The AT&T Samsung ATIV Smart PC release date has been revealed by the carrier to be set for November 9. Its price will start at $799.99, and as per the network provider’s holiday season deals, a $100 discount will be applied to this device as well as all other Samsung products that are purchased with two-year agreements and qualifying voice and data plans. It should be noted however that its keyboard dock will be sold separately later in the same month, along with other accessories.
This new Windows 8 tablet is being claimed to offer ultimate productivity and entertainment features owing to its premium traits. It will be doled out in the US exclusively through the carrier. Equipped with an Intel Atom dual core processor which can be clocked till up to 1.5 GHz, this device sports an 11.6-inch HD PLUS display with a resolution of 1366 x 768. The screen’s attributes are further boosted by an Intel Graphics Media Accelerator.
The ATIV Smart PC kicks in 2 speakers on its sleek form factor. An 8MP camera sits pretty on its rear, whereas its front is embedded with a 2MP snapper for video chat purposes. Its dimensions read 11.60 x 7.20 x 0.38 inches, and its weight is set at 0.75kgs. 2GB of DDR2L RAM makes its way into the tablet along with 64GB of internal storage memory. Moreover, there’s also a microSD card slot present on it which lets users stretch it by an additional 32GB.
A 2-cell lithium-polymer battery has been placed inside it, offering 14.5 hours of juice as per Mobile Mark. Its video playtime is set at 10 hours tops. Slated to be delivered in hues of blue and white, this Windows 8 slab will indeed feature backwards compatibility, rendering support for all existing software and applications that run on older versions like Windows 7, Vista and XP. Its connectivity traits include 3G, 4G LTE, Wi-Fi and Bluetooth v4.0 LE.
