The newly revealed iPhone app offers families a truly seamless experience when locating and connecting with one another on the go using their phone. The app brings forward a streamlined approach to help families stay up to speed on each other’s whereabouts by locating wireless devices within a shared family account.
The FamilyMap app features an interactive map that helps users view whereabouts, including surrounding landmarks such as schools and parks, and toggle between satellite and interactive street maps. Users can assign a name and photo to each device within an account, and label frequently visited locations.
Users can now use the app to see if a family member is on schedule. Parents can schedule and receive text and email alerts. In fact, one can set up and view a list of landmarks within the app. The FamilyMap comes equipped with an innovative Multi-touch user interface enabling users to pan the map until they find the location of a specific family member’s wireless device.
Further, the app features on-demand locating and messaging. Just to notify, the app works on any AT&T phone with post-paid service.
