AT&T LG Optimus G Pro US release date set for May 10

Just as we had estimated earlier, LG has partnered with AT&T to announce the Optimus G Pro release date for those residing in the US along with providing the benefit of a slashed down price. Going up on sale at $199.99, the smartphone will arrive on May 10 accompanied by a spanking new two-year service contract.

The AT&T LG Optimus G Pro flaunts a 5.5-inch full HD touch display which has been infused with IPS technology and a 2.1MP webcam which shares space with this screen. Speaking of cameras, there is a 13MP snapper bulging out of the rear panel featuring autofocus, Cheese Shutter, Time Catch Shot and other attributes.

Armed with the earlier version of Android Jelly Bean, the phone welcomes a Qualcomm Snapdragon 600 processor into its interiors. Clocked at 1.7GHz, this quad core CPU seeks assistance from 2GB of RAM while facilitating multitasking.

As it is pretty visible, manufacturers have begun stressing more on features proffered by phones and not just the high-end specifications. More or less with the same approach, the company in question will be rolling out a Value Pack update for the Optimus G Pro, presenting it with attributes much similar to those seen on the Samsung Galaxy S4.

Front And Back

To begin with, users should be able to reap the perquisites of Smart Pause and WatchON. As many know, the former stops a running video when owners avert their gaze and resumes when they look back into the screen, while the latter doubles as a remote for a television set. Only these features will be known as Smart Video and Magic Remote Pad through the Value Pack update.

AT&T has also given an option of pre-ordering the Optimus G Pro starting May 3 for those who cannot wait. Moreover, anyone who owns a recent model smartphone can hope to benefit from at least a $100 credit depending on the trade-in value of the existent phone. Since buyers will be given an option to spend the amount on the spot, this should reduce the device’s retail value to $99.99.
