Asus ZenFone Zoom out in India for Rs 37999

The Asus ZenFone Zoom has finally been unleashed in India, nearly a year after it had made its first appearance at CES 2015. The handset is now available exclusively via Flipkart and is set to be sold via the company’s retail stores starting in February.

The dual-SIM Asus ZenFone Zoom can currently be bought in exchange of Rs 37999. It will soon be up for purchase as part of a bundle made up of a portable tripod and the ZenFlash for Rs 39999. The USP of the phone is its 13MP PixelMaster primary camera. The device is supposedly the thinnest phone in the world to offer 3x optical zoom.

The feature is combined with 4x digital zoom to output 12x total zoom. Asus has collaborated with Japanese lens maker Hoya to manufacture a 10-element lens system for the handset. The brand has endowed it with OIS, dual-color Real Tone LED flash and 0.03 second laser autofocus. It also has the ability to stitch together a 52MP image.
