The Asus ZenFone series with its Indian price points has emphasized that for any manufacturer, aggressive pricing is the way to go if they wish to sell their devices in the country. Equipped with advanced components, these handsets are looking to offer some serious bang for the buck, but if you’re wondering what to make of them, let us decode them for you.
This ZenFone range comprises of three different smartphones bearing 4-inch, 5-inch and 6-inch displays. The first one is the entry-level Asus ZenFone 4 smartphone which features a 480 x 800 pixel display that’s 4 inches in size. It runs on a 1.2GHz dual core Intel Atom processor and 1GB of RAM. 8GB of storage, microSD support, a 5MP rear camera, a VGA front snapper and more also form part of its offerings for a price of Rs 5999.
Next is the 5-inch HD display-equipped ZenFone 5 which can be purchased for Rs 9999. This handset gains a 1.6GHz dual core Intel Atom processor and 2GB of RAM. It benefits from an 8MP rear camera and a 2MP front one. Asus has included a 2,110mAh power unit among its components.
Last is the ZenFone 6 which as you guessed, comes with a 6-inch display, the resolution of which is 720p HD. It features the same processor which is part of the 5-inch model and also kicks in 2GB worth of RAM. Asus has granted the device a 13MP main camera and a 2MP webcam. This phablet can be bought at Rs 16999, a price which makes its costlier than the 6-inch Lava Magnum X604.
All these Asus ZenFone devices support dual SIM cards and run the Android 4.3 Jelly Bean OS (upgradable to KitKat). They are set to be made available in a number of different color options.
