Asus had announced the Zenfone Selfie, Zenfone 2 Laser 5.5 and Zenfone 2 Deluxe a few weeks ago and is now putting them up for pre-orders starting from August 19. There’s no specific release date for the phones yet, but they will all be available to buy exclusively through Flipkart.
The Zenfone Selfie is priced at Rs 15999 for its 16GB/2GB version and Rs 17999 for its 32GB/3GB one. The Zenfone 2 Laser 5.5 costs Rs 9999 for the 2GB of RAM and Snapdragon 410 variant, while the 3GB of RAM and Snapdragon 615 one retails for Rs 13999. The Zenfone 2 Deluxe is valued at Rs 22999 for 64GB of ROM, and Rs 29999 for 128GB.
Diving into its specs, the Zenfone Selfie has a 5.5-inch full HD screen protected by Gorilla Glass 4. It runs on Android 5.0 Lollipop-based Zen UI. The handset is powered by a 3000mAh battery and a 1.7GHz 64-bit octa-core Snapdragon 615 processor. Its memory capabilities can be expanded up to 64GB via microSD. It sports a 13MP front and main camera with laser autofocus and dual-LED Real Tone flash.
The Zenfone 2 Laser 5.5 has similar features. It also comes with a 5.5-inch 1080p display, a 3000mAh battery and Android Lollipop 5.0 wrapped up in Zen UI. The device is powered by a 1.5GHz 64-bit octa-core Snapdragon 615 SoC. It has a 13MP rear snapper with dual-LED Real Tone flash and laser autofocus, along with a 5MP front lens. It contains 16GB of internal storage and supports expansion up till 128GB.
The Zenfone 2 Deluxe is an upgraded version of the Laser 5.5 with the same 5.5-inch full HD screen and Android Lollipop-based Zen UI. It distinguishes itself by a diamond-like polygonal back design. Under the hood, it has a 2.3GHz 64-bit quad-core Intel Atom Z3580 processor and a 3000mAh battery. Asus is touting the phone as the first to possess 4GB of RAM. It carries a 13MP primary snapper and a 5MP secondary one.
